R&D
Our continuous focus on innovation is strengthened by our R&D department, where we strive to push the boundaries of science, bring new plant varieties to market, and initiate and propagate existing varieties on a contract basis.

In our in vitro lab in Rijkevorsel, we develop and refine protocols for woody crops and ornamentals, with particular expertise in non invasive Fargesia and distinctive Hydrangea types. Our focus on innovation and sustainable cultivation technologies results in homogeneous, healthy plant material and a streamlined process from propagation to hardening off.
We work closely with breeders and growers to translate research quickly into production through a clear three step R&D process: initiation, multiplication and hardening. We can start from an existing protocol or develop a tailored one when needed; we test and report interim results to adjust the approach as necessary. Confidentiality and potential exclusivity are aligned with the scope and volumes of the project.
The results of our R&D work form the breeding ground for our licensing programmes, through which we bring new selections to international markets after thorough trials.
